Inspiration

My name is Chanda, and I'm the Chef of CSK (Chanda's Southern Kitchen). My mother, Kimberly Graham, was the best person in the world, growing up in the small town of Fairmont, NC. I found myself in the kitchen with my mother, helping her cook small and big holiday meals. And I enjoyed spending time with her for all meals, including the small, simple meals. My mother was a young, single parent that didn't have much, but one thing for sure was that she loved me. She worked multiple factory jobs but knew that couldn't be all in life for her. She found a way to begin chasing her dream and sacrificed a lot of things at that time to pursue it. Late study nights, multiple tutoring, and tedious clinical had to be late. During all this, I became the cook for the family, and my mother ensured it was superb cooking and not mediocre. She critiqued me early, and I loved every minute because she taught me how to be a master of my craft. She eventually graduated college, became a Respiratory Therapist, and was very successful.

Contribution

I dedicate my food truck to my mother, Kimberly Graham, and I vow to take 10% of the yearly proceeds and give to the opioid crisis in my mother's name. CSK will support all surrounding counties like Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, and Robeson County. Our job is to also give back to each community by supporting local charity events, marketing events, festivals, and community centers with our time & food. Our goal is to provide quality food at a reasonable price and spread the love, one plate at a time. Follow us, like our page, and love our food. God bless you, your family, and all Soldiers and Veterans.

CSK Story

COOKING

Our Cajun cuisine isn't just a style but a way of living for the people of Louisiana. I've been cooking cajun food since 2012, and I want to share it with the world. CSK has sold over 3,000 plates before our food truck went active and volunteered over 3,000 to the less fortunate during their times of need. Giving back to the community, cooking for the less fortunate, and helping single Soldiers is what my family has done since 2006.  We was stationed in Louisiana for over 10 yrs and just enjoyed their culture and their food.  Once my husband retired we just brought it home with us on the road. Now we get to share it with the world and travel to share the culture and food of the Cajun cuisine. I enjoy cooking and seeing the smile on people's faces after eating my food. I really  hope to see you smile soon:)
